Now you have to assign a static IP to your DVR, I just change the last number of the router IP, it's just easier for me, so it would be 192.168.2.4, write it down. Here's where it gets a little tricky, but you can do it. Write down the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway. You have to find your routers IP address, to do this, goto your start menu on your computer, type cmd, when the screen opens then type, ipconfig, then enter. If you are able to do that, then this will help you connect, I will explain it the best I can as it took a lot of trial and error. If you have the DVR make sure it's connected to the software download that comes with it, mine came with one called netviewer.
